The Star Is Born ...


Stardom for Sandara continues..... Sandara joined ABS-CBN's entertainment stable called Star Magic in the wake of her success in the show, with her projects ranging from commercial endorsements to television appearances and movies. Sandara also engaged in television specials My Name is Sandara Park (2004), a KBS documentary on Sandara Park while she was still living in the Philippines. It follows Sandara's life as a top star in the country.It's also quite interesting to see Sandara's rise to fame and also her bubbly personality.    In 2005, Sandara was featured in Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK).Maalaala Mo Kaya (Tagalog for Would You Remember, abbreviated as "MMK") is a Philippine drama anthology series broadcast on ABS-CBN every Saturday evening and being hosted by Charo Santos-Concio. "Scrapbook" - The life story of Korean superstar Sandara Park. From childhood in KOREA to becoming a star in the Philippines when she won 2nd place next to HERO in STAR CIRCLE QUEST.

A TV Special made especially for Sandara by ABS-CBN. It'a a variety show starring Sandara and includes a lot of stars even big names in the industry just for her special. She's one of the few stars given a TV special like these (artist that are really famous are only given such shows as this) which shows how popular Sandara is in the Philippines.

Sandara also have a weekly show,the ASAP Fanatic. It is the first variety show for teens aired every Sunday afternoon after ASAP Mania on ABS-CBN in the Philippines. It showcases the hottest teen stars of the network, which features production numbers like Full Circle including the winner of the Star Circle Quest , Sandara Park.

ASAP Fanatics : A Controversial Loveteam of Sandara Park

Sandara talked about her dream about becoming an actress. She starred in her first movie Bcuz Of U (2004), a three-story movie. She acted alongside Hero Angeles, and Filipino actors Kristine Hermosa and Heart Evangelista.

A tour guide (Hero Angeles) meets a girl (Sandara Park) who pretends to be a famous actress.
Louie (Hero Angeles), a tourist guide, meets April (Sandara Park), a Korean girl who got lost in the city and is left with no choice but to pretend that she is a famous actress in her hometown only to survive. Will it be possible for two very different individuals find home in one another?

Sandara won "Best New Actress", her first acting award, in the 21st Philippine Movie Press Club Star Awards.

Sandara and Hero Angeles launched their first solo movie, Can This Be Love (2005) which reportedly grossed almost 100 million pesos.Starring with Roxanne Guinoo, Joross Gamboa, and Paw Diaz.

Sandara was also nominated for "Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (Musical or Comedy)" at the 2006 Golden Screen Awards.

Her third movie was D' Lucky Ones (2006) wherein she was paired with co-SCQ alumnus, Joseph Bitangcol due to Angeles' decision to retire from show business.

In the same year, her fourth and last movie Super Noypi was shown in Christmas 2006 and was an official entry into the 32nd Metro Manila Film Festival.

The success of Sandara in the Philippines lead her to star in a drama series.

One was Krystala, a fantasy series by Philippines' Soap Opera Queen, Judy Ann Santos.

SCQ Reload is a youth oriented drama aired on ABS-CBN which starred the former teen finalists or questors of the reality talent search Star Circle Quest, in where "SCQ" was also derived. It tackles the story of normal teenagers with their adventures and struggles in life and love. Directed by Laurenti Dyogi.

On its first few sasons the show was entitled SCQ Reload: OK Ako!, with complete former final 10 SCQ finalists, and on a new season, the title was changed to SCQ Reload : Kilig Ako! which excluded Sandara Park due to some commitments, (she went back to Korea for 6 months) and added new casts like Sarah Geronimo and Japoy Lizardo.


Crazy For You is a soap opera shown on ABS-CBN. It is the first television series about overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). Starring Sandara as Ara. Other casting includes Luis Manzano, Tony Gonzaga, John Pratts, Pokwang and other Kapamilya stars. It premiered simultaneously on ABS-CBN (Philippines) and The Filipino Channel on September 11, 2006, the first world launch in Philippine TV history.


Sandara also acted in Abt Ur Luv. It is a youth-oriented program broadcast on ABS-CBN. The series began airing in November 2006 and ran through January 2008

..... and lastly in Nuts Entertainment of GMA Network in 2006.


Sandara also embarked on a musical career that led to the release of her self-titled six-track album that contained the novelty dance hit "In or Out", a song that parodied her experiences on Star Circle Quest.
